As I reflect upon National Volunteer Week, I am so thankful to all the volunteers in Calgary Centre, who make our city a better place to live, play, and care for one another.
In 2017, as we celebrate our 150th anniversary of the Confederation, I’d like to encourage all of our community members to recognize and thank the many faces of volunteering. Volunteerism is broad and inclusive and among the greatest acts of service a Canadian can contribute. Volunteering helps provide a great sense of purpose and satisfaction to Canadians and is also a way to connect with others. To learn about volunteer opportunities visit the Volunteer Canada webpage.
This #NVW2017 let’s celebrate and honour the near 13 million Canadians volunteers who devote countless hours and help #MakeADifference in our communities each day!
